Senecio ampullaceus adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari wilayah sepanjang Texas hingga Meksiko (Coahuila). Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan texas ragwort. Nama ilmiah Senecio ampullaceus diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama William Jackson Hooker pada tahun 1836.
