Senecio erosus merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Nama ilmiah Senecio erosus diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Hugh Algernon Weddell pada tahun 1857. Nama spesies ini merupakan sinonim dari Senecio rhizomatus.
