Senecio gerrardii merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari Afrika Selatan. Nama ilmiah Senecio gerrardii diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama William Henry Harvey pada tahun 1865.
