Senecio glabratus merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari wilayah sepanjang Chili (Atacama hingga Valparaíso). Nama ilmiah Senecio glabratus diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama William Jackson Hooker pada tahun 1830.
