Senecio hirtifolius adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Eastern Cape (Uitenhage). Nama ilmiah Senecio hirtifolius pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Augustin Pyramus de Candolle pada tahun 1838.
