Senecio linifolius merupakan tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Provinsi Cape timur hingga Lesotho. Nama ilmiah Senecio linifolius pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carolus Linnaeus dalam Species Plantarum tahun 1759.
