Senecio macranthus merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah New South Wales timur. Nama ilmiah Senecio macranthus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Achille Richard pada tahun 1834.
