Senecio malacitanus merupakan tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Spanyol selatan dan timur, Baleares, Afrika barat laut. Nama ilmiah Senecio malacitanus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Rupert Huter pada tahun 1905.
