Senecio megaoreinus merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari Argentina (Rio Negro). Nama ilmiah Senecio megaoreinus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Elsa Matilde Zardini pada tahun 1974.
