Senecio minimus merupakan tumbuhan semusim atau menahun dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Australia Barat bagian Barat Daya, Queensland tenggara, Australia Tenggara, hingga Selandia Baru. Nama ilmiah Senecio minimus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Jean Louis Marie Poiret pada tahun 1817.
