Senecio oreophyton merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari wilayah sepanjang Chili utara dan tengah hingga Argentina barat laut. Nama ilmiah Senecio oreophyton pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Ezechiel Jules Rémy pada tahun 1849.
