Senecio philippicus merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari Chili (Antofagasta). Nama ilmiah Senecio philippicus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Eduard August von Regel pada tahun 1857.
