Senecio propior adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di kawasan tropis Afrika bagian selatan. Nama ilmiah Senecio propior pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Spencer Le Marchant Moore pada tahun 1911.
