Senecio quadridentatus merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Australia barat daya dan tenggara, Selandia Baru. Nama ilmiah Senecio quadridentatus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Jacques Labillardière pada tahun 1806.
