Senecio rhizomatus adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma pegunungan tropis di wilayah Peru (La Libertad), Bolivia tengah. Nama ilmiah Senecio rhizomatus diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Henry Hurd Rusby pada tahun 1896.
