Senecio scorzonella merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari wilayah sepanjang California hingga Nevada. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan sierra ragwort. Nama ilmiah Senecio scorzonella pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Edward Lee Greene pada tahun 1896.
