Senecio smithii adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari wilayah sepanjang Chili selatan dan selatan-tengah hingga Argentina selatan. Nama ilmiah Senecio smithii diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Augustin Pyramus de Candolle pada tahun 1838.
