Senecio subulatus var. salsus merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari wilayah sepanjang Bolivia selatan hingga Amerika Selatan bagian selatan. Nama ilmiah Senecio subulatus var. salsus diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama August Heinrich Rudolf Grisebach pada tahun 1949.
