Senecio viridilacus merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari Bolivia tengah dan timur. Nama ilmiah Senecio viridilacus diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Ángel Lulio Cabrera pada tahun 1952.
