Senecio viscosissimus merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari Chili (Antofagasta, Coquimbo, Valparaíso). Nama ilmiah Senecio viscosissimus diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Luigi Aloysius Colla pada tahun 1835.
