Shorea obtusa merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Dipterocarpaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Indo-China. Nama ilmiah Shorea obtusa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Nathaniel Wallich pada tahun 1856.
