Stylosanthes viscosa adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko hingga kawasan tropis Amerika. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan poorman's friend. Nama ilmiah Stylosanthes viscosa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Olof Peter Swartz pada tahun 1788.
