Swertia papuana merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Gentianaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma pegunungan tropis di wilayah Papua New Guinea. Nama ilmiah Swertia papuana diperkenalkan oleh Friedrich Ludwig Emil Diels pada tahun 1929.
