Swertia patens merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Gentianaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah China (Sichuan selatan, Yunnan timur laut). Nama ilmiah Swertia patens diperkenalkan oleh Isaac Henry Burkill pada tahun 1911.
