NEW YORK ASTER Symphyotrichumnovi-belgii (L.) G.L.Nesom
Symphyotrichum novi-belgii merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kanada bagian timur hingga Amerika Serikat timur laut. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan new york aster. Nama ilmiah Symphyotrichum novi-belgii diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Guy L. Nesom pada tahun 1995.
