Syzygium sandwicense merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Myrtaceae (suku jambu-jambuan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Kepulauan Hawaii. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan 'ohi'a ha. Nama ilmiah Syzygium sandwicense diperkenalkan oleh Asa Gray pada tahun 1864.
