Thevetia amazonica merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Apocynaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Brazil hingga Bolivia. Nama ilmiah Thevetia amazonica diperkenalkan oleh Adolpho Ducke pada tahun 1922.
