Trichodesma zeylanicum var. sericeum merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Boraginaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kepulauan Nusa Tenggara hingga Australia. Nama ilmiah Trichodesma zeylanicum var. sericeum diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama John Lindley pada tahun 1868.
