Vatica obscura merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Dipterocarpaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Sri Lanka. Nama ilmiah Vatica obscura pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Henry Trimen pada tahun 1885.
