Vernonia aschersonii adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah kawasan tropis Afrika bagian timur laut. Nama ilmiah Vernonia aschersonii diperkenalkan oleh Carl Heinrich "Bipontinus" Schultz pada tahun 1867.
