Vernonia galamensis subsp. afromontana merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari wilayah sepanjang Uganda hingga Kenya. Nama ilmiah Vernonia galamensis subsp. afromontana diperkenalkan oleh Robert Elias Fries pada tahun 1986.
