Vickifunkia thomsonii merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Afghanistan hingga Mongolia dan Himalaya. Nama ilmiah Vickifunkia thomsonii diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Charles Baron Clarke pada tahun 2020.
