Viola grypoceras var. rhizomata merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Violaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Jepang (Honshu). Nama ilmiah Viola grypoceras var. rhizomata pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Takenoshin Nakai pada tahun 1953.
