Viola microphylla merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Violaceae yang tumbuh dalam bentuk perdu kecil atau semak. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim dingin (subalpin atau subarktik) dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Chili tengah dan selatan hingga Argentina (Mendoza). Nama ilmiah Viola microphylla pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Rodolfo Amando Philippi pada tahun 1857.
