Viola rotundifolia merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Violaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kanada bagian timur hingga Amerika Serikat timur. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan roundleaf yellow violet. Nama ilmiah Viola rotundifolia pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis André Michaux pada tahun 1803.
