Viola thomasiana merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Violaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Alpen tengah dan selatan, Kaukasia, Siberia barat daya. Nama ilmiah Viola thomasiana pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis André Songeon pada tahun 1860.
