Volutaria abyssinica merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di kawasan tropis Afrika bagian timur laut, Yaman. Nama ilmiah Volutaria abyssinica diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Achille Richard pada tahun 1967.
