Vriesea simplex adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan epifit dari famili Bromeliaceae (suku nanas-nanasan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah. Nama ilmiah Vriesea simplex diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama José Mariano da Conceição Vellozo pada tahun 1856.
