Zanthoxylum ovalifolium merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Rutaceae (suku jeruk-jerukan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari kawasan tropis Asia hingga Queensland timur laut. Nama ilmiah Zanthoxylum ovalifolium diperkenalkan oleh Robert Wight pada tahun 1839.
