Zapoteca portoricensis subsp. pubicarpa merupakan tumbuhan perdu dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan tumbuh menjalar. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Meksiko barat daya. Nama ilmiah Zapoteca portoricensis subsp. pubicarpa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Héctor Manuel Hernández pada tahun 1989.
