Zapoteca sousae merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Meksiko barat daya. Nama ilmiah Zapoteca sousae diperkenalkan oleh Héctor Manuel Hernández pada tahun 1994.
