Zoegea leptaurea merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari wilayah sepanjang Mediterania timur hingga Afganistan. Nama ilmiah Zoegea leptaurea diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Carolus Linnaeus pada tahun 1767.
