Ceanothus foliosus merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Rhamnaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah California barat dan barat daya. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan wavyleaf ceanothus. Nama ilmiah Ceanothus foliosus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Charles Christopher Parry pada tahun 1889.
