Ceanothus ophiochilus merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Rhamnaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah California (Riversdale County barat daya). Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan vail lake ceanothus. Nama ilmiah Ceanothus ophiochilus pertama kali dipublikasikan pada tahun 1991.
