Ceanothus perplexans adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Rhamnaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari California selatan, Arizona barat dan Meksiko (Baja California bagian utara), hingga termasuk Pulau Guadalupe. Nama ilmiah Ceanothus perplexans pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis William Trelease pada tahun 1897.
