Ceanothus sonomensis merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Rhamnaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah California (Sonoma County, Napa County). Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan sonoma ceanothus. Nama ilmiah Ceanothus sonomensis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis John Thomas Howell pada tahun 1940.
