Forsythia europaea merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Oleaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Montenegro hingga Albania utara. Nama ilmiah Forsythia europaea pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Árpád von Degen pada tahun 1898.
