Manihot michaelis merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Euphorbiaceae (suku kastuba-kastubaan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Meksiko barat daya. Nama ilmiah Manihot michaelis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Rogers McVaugh pada tahun 1961.
