Melampodium microcephalum adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan semusim dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko hingga Guatemala. Nama ilmiah Melampodium microcephalum pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Christian Friedrich Lessing pada tahun 1834.
