Rhododendron aureum subsp. hypopitys merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Ericaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Rusia tenggara dan Timur Jauh selatan. Nama ilmiah Rhododendron aureum subsp. hypopitys pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Antonina Ivanovna Pojarkova pada tahun 1985.
